As per a report by Bloomberg, the TikTok content monitor has filed a lawsuit against the popular social media platform and its parent company ByteDance, alleging emotional distress from disturbing graphics and videos. Candie Frazier, who is leading a proposed class action lawsuit, claims to have been exposed to content showcasing various forms of violence including school shootings, fatal falls, and even fratricide. The lawsuit further states that the plaintiff experiences insomnia and suffers from terrifying nightmares during sleep.
Fraser aspires to advocate for fellow TikTok screeners in the class action lawsuit, seeking redress for their psychological injuries and requesting the court to allocate funds for medical support for these moderators.
